A business plan should be an organic living document that sets the course for the business. Having a good business plan will focus a business. It will need to be revised and updated as the business develops and grows. From day one goals and objectives of a business one will need to be modified and adjusted as the business may or may not exceed its targets.
The business strategy is then the next key ingredient required to making the business plan work. Parameters need to be set out to identify what are the immediate, medium, long terms goals for the business. Following on from that the need to review Weekly/Monthly sales targets in order for the business plan to work. This allows for corrective action if the targets are not being met.
Communication is vital to every business and we will be looking at internal communications within an organisation. By monitoring and improving it internally it will develop a culture of good communications. This will help with the external communications and help improve customer service.
